Catalan fabric collection

The Catalan fabric collection is a series of ten shiny summer fruits designs featuring kiwi, mango, apricot and fig swirling through space. Other summer fruits like cherry, pomegranate, and passion fruit are depicted a bit closer to home. This results in a fabric collection that combines organic patterns with more abstract looking designs.

Hortus by Night fabric collection 2

The second Hortus by Night fabric collection consists of five different glasshouse pattern designs with luminous botanical shapes. They are like fireworks on fabric.

PAINTINGS BECOME PATTERNS

Once a year I transform my art into something new entirely. The artworks of one particular series become fabric patterns. These patterns become custom made scarves, cushions and table linens.

LIMITED EDITION

My art on fabric collections are limited edition only. That means I only offer an item in a particular pattern once. So if you have chosen your scarf in your favourite art fabric design you can be sure you are the only one in the whole wide world with that particular scarf. The same goes for cushions and table linens.

The only exception to this ‘rule’ is my Majorelle fabric collection. It was the first collection of fabrics I started with and to celebrate that with as many people as possible I made more than one item of every design available.

FAQ’S

WHY DO I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Making your art on fabric dream item is a customized service. I want to make sure you will be able to explore all possibilities. Furthermore, when we meet you will be able to touch and feel the texture of the fabrics. This will give you a good idea of how your dream item is going to turn out. But of course, if you would like to discuss your preferences during a video call that’s also possible.

I DON’T LIVE NEAR DEN BOSCH, CAN YOU COME VISIT ME?

Yes I can. We can make an appointment at your place to go over all the possibilities and to discuss your options and preferences. Before I come and visit you we will schedule a phone or online call. This way I can make sure that I can offer what you are looking for. And I will be able to bring the right fabrics with me on my visit.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO HAVE MY DREAM ITEM?

The delivery time of the fabric items varies between 6 to 8 weeks due to the custom made quality. So let’s say you know exactly what you want, then it would take about 2 months for the item to be ready and delivered. But if you maybe need a little more time to think things over – which wouldn’t be surprising – than it can take a little more time.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The journey of creating your own fabric item is going to look like this:

  1. You make an appointment to come visit my studio to go over the possibilities
  2. You choose your preferences regarding type of item, size of item, type of fabric, type and scale of pattern design.
  3. I make you a quote for the item of your dreams and the estimated delivery time.
  4. If you agree I will order your item and keep you posted about the process.
  5. When it’s ready you can choose to come pick it up at my studio so we can toast to your art on fabric item, or I can send it to you per mail (or if you live closely by I can bring it to you myself).

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE A CHOICE?

That is no problem at all. If you maybe get overwhelmed by all the possibilities or don’t know how to make a choice, I will be there. I will guide you through all the options and ask the right questions so you will be able to get an idea about how the different choices would impact your item.

For instance: let’s say you want a cushion but you really can’t decide on the fabric. I can help you choose by discussing where you want to put it (indoors or outdoors?), how you want to use it and how it is going to fit in with the rest of the room. The same goes for scarves (how are you planning on wearing it, what fabrics do you have in your wardrobe already, etc).

So you don’t need to worry about this. You are going to be able to make a choice. And it’s totally okay if you need a little more time to think things over. Creating your dream item isn’t something to rush through. It’s supposed to be a enjoyable journey full of surprises.

Do you feel you are ready to start that journey and create your own unique art on fabric item? Make an appointment now!
